After four succesful editions, Barcamp Kerala is back for the fifth time, bigger and better. Come, join and enjoy the biggest technical unconference in Kerala.
For those who don’t know about BarCamp… BarCamp Kerala is an ad-hoc gathering rooted in the desire to share and learn in an open & friendly environment. It is an intense yet cool, event with discussions, demos, and strong interactions. The 5th edition of BarCamp Kerala (BCK5), is scheduled to be on May 3rd, 2009, Sunday at TechnoPark, Thiruvananthapuram.

I have been too busy lately working on our tech fest which left me with too little time to chat with my friends, let alone blog. It has been a roller coaster ride with many lows and highs. For the first time in the history of our college, all the branches are co-hosting an event of such magnitude.
When all 5 branches come together, some amount of friction was expected. Though it did happen, we had sorted out things pretty well (hope so). With almost all groundworks over, the a week of celebration begins at SBCE from today.
The first three days constitute our intra college events hosted by the technical organisations of each department. The final three days will be the inter college fest ASTRAL-09 with 16 events and a price money of over 1.5 lakh.

MAD was recently picked as one of fifteen finalists for the international Youth Social Entrepreneur Awards which is a prestigious award bestowed by the Ashoka group. MAD became the only Indian entry in this competition in spite of 521 nominations from 60 odd countries. The final winner will be picked by online voting.
