This a true story of my friend which depicts the pitfall buying Lenovo laptop.
I brought a Lenovo 3000N200 series Laptop one year back, exactly 21’st Feb 2008 from Dubai Shopping festival for Rs 35, 000. I was very satisfied with their product initially, as it is cost effective with good performance. But after 3 months of working my laptop charger burnt out. I called up the customer care (18004252666) asking for the replacement and they said because it is burnt, they can’t replace it. For me, living without laptop and internet is worst thing in my life.
Microsoft have warned users of Internet Explorer regarding a flaw that could let hackers gain access to their computers and steal private data. The same flaw is said to have been found in IE 5 and IE 6.
What Is The Flaw?
When a user visits a website which has a malicious code written into its webpage, his computer gets affected and the hacker can gain access to his/her computer. Users don’t have to download anything, just visiting the website is sufficient. A lot of websites have been hacked to exploit this flaw.
Well! Not surprising. This is not the first time that people have found IE to be vulnerable. I haven’t used IE for about 4 years now. Firefox and Chrome are the browsers I use.
If you are one of those IE users, what should you do?
Here is the To-Do list.
1) Best by far and my favourite option. Switch browsers. Use Opera or Firefox. Both these browsers can be downloaded free of cost from their respective homepage.
2) Change the internet zone security setting of IE to “high”. But this comes at a cost of slower browsing speed. (Not an option for dial-up users).
If you don’t know how to, then follow this
Internet Explorer >> Tools >> Internet Options >> Security. Change the Security option to high.
3) Create a new user account with limited rights to change the PC’s settings. Log in on that account and then browse.
4) Use genuine updated antivirus software. (This is likely to have minimal effect)
Microsoft is coming up with a patch to deal this flaw. So until then browse trusted sites or switch a browser.
I might sound crazy, but am I really? I came across this article recently and did a lot of googling and finally I am writing about it.
A mobile battery can be charged using two peepal leaves.
However unbelievable it may sound, people who came to learn about this tested it, and found encouraging results.
You would have to take out your mobile battery from the handset and connect it with peepal leaf. After that without shaking mobile set the battery should be placed back in the handset. After some time your mobile would be charged.
According to Botanists, it is just changing mutual energy into electrical energy power which can be saved in the battery.
PS – I haven’t tested this technology.
Step by Step guide to charge your mobile battery using Peepal leaves
1- Open your mobile cover
2- Take out your battery
3- Take two to three fresh leaves of peepal/pipal/ashwattha tree
4- Touch the stub of these leaves on your mobile battery terminal for a MINUTE
5- Clean the mobile battery terminal with a soft cloth
6- Put the battery back in your mobile and switch it on
7- Now you can see the result
8- If required, repeat the process with fresh leaves !
